It's been a while since I have had a new release and I didn't love that long dry spell. But somehow everything got weighted to the beginning of the year and the end of the year. So when the opportunity arose to try something new, I decided to go for it and self publish this story.

If you've read Dragon's Fate or Taken by Tarot, you'll recognize the world and even a few of the characters. If you haven't read those, no worries, Slave to Pleasure is a stand alone story that works fine without reading the others.

If I ever believed that self publishing was easy (I really didn't), boy would I have been wrong. It's a lot of work. I'm not one to ever be sloppy (hello, I'm a Virgo) or do something half ass so I went through a professional editor and proofreader. I went to a really good cover artist for the cover and spent hours getting everything else just right.

Oh and I should probably warn you that my fae are not the nice sweet people as often portrayed on television. They do what they want, when they want and with who they want. Rules are made to be broken for them and you can count on a REALLY hot book.

If you buy a copy I hope you'll go back after you've read it and leave a review. Reviews often help push someone undecided to give it a try. And you're always welcome to email me, I love hearing from readers. :)

What I'm Writing Now - Unedited

This is a tiny taste of a new contemporary story that I am writing at this very moment. This is not edited, will likely get smoothed and changed, but I thought I'd share a bit of a scene I am having fun with.


“Since you brought in the signed contract I’m not going to ask again if you’re sure. You’ll simply follow the instructions either of us give.” Chase didn’t let up with the pictures and other than stand there and wait she didn’t know what else to do.

“Relax, don’t tense up. No one is going to hurt you. Much.”

Murphy snickered from the couch behind her at Chase’s last comment. She thought she knew exactly how things would go but now she wasn’t so sure.

“Lose the skirt and blouse.”

Compelled to move, Eve reached behind her and grasped the hook at the waistband of her skirt.

“Allow me.” Murphy breathed into her ear. He’d silently moved from the couch and now brushed her hand aside. Deft fingers finessed the hook open and slid the zipper down. Warm hands caressed her bare waist, sweeping the fabric down her hips and thighs. Cool air rushed across her lace-covered sex, causing Eve to gasp at the sudden sensation.

Murphy kept silent while he worked, although this close he had to know exactly how aroused she was. She stepped gingerly from her skirt so as not to lose her balance. Even with practice, four inch heels were treacherous.

Automatically her hands went to the tiny buttons of her blouse.

Murphy grabbed her wrist and stopped her. “I will do it.” The hardened tone of his voice sent shivers racing up and down her spine. He cupped her chin and brought her gaze to his. “Eyes on me sexy.”

Oh lord, he was beautiful.

With eyes the color of deep dark chocolate staring into her it was all Eve could do not to moan in ecstasy. The heated look he gave her melted her insides as he unhooked one button at a time until her shirt lie open, his fingers brushing the roundness of her stomach. Nervous currents of electricity zapped through her with every new touch. She desperately wanted to squeeze her eyes shut and hide from the momentary embarrassment of the most gorgeous man she’d ever laid eyes on touching her. Her.

Murphy stepped close to push the offending shirt from her shoulders. Heat enveloped her, warmed her through. It took every ounce of willpower not to reach for him, to pull him close and rub all over him. He smelled so fucking good. A little like sex and a lot like wild man. Maybe it was the persona she’d built around him. But as far as she could tell he lived up to every bad boy, sex starved fantasy she’d included him in.

Suddenly, the heat was gone and Murphy stood back so Chase could take more pictures. The camera clicked continuously and she swore he had to have photographed every blessed inch of her body when he finally stopped and brought the camera to his side.

“Why are you here, Eve?”

“To prove to myself that even curves are erotic.”

Chase’s eyes narrowed. “Bullshit.”

Eve blinked. Shocked by the harsh word. “It’s true.” She dug her teeth into her bottom lip for a second, waiting for him to say something else. Instead they both stared her down and she had a sudden need to crawl out of her own skin.

“What? What more do you want from me?”

A rough laugh rumbled from Chase and Murphy turned away. “I want you to tell me everything. By the time we’re through I'll know all of your secrets. Are you ready for that?”

She nodded. Half sick with worry.

“What’s your biggest fantasy?”

Eve sighed. That was easy. “To be tied up and ravished.” She had to look away.

“But it’s not that simple, is it?”

Upcoming eBooks I need to read!

I see a lot of chatter around the net on what traditional published books are coming out and the readers who are anxiously waiting for them. And while I do read a mix of traditional and small press eBooks, I find that I read a lot more small press. So I thought I'd share a few of those books that are coming out that I am crazy anxious to read.

There are probably a lot more that I am missing but I find that not all small press publishers are really good at telling me what is Coming Soon. Hopefully I will catch the new releases on Twitter or at All Romance when they hit there.

What a sexually charged romp into the life of the demon Melody. Desired by both men and women, Melody can have her pick, except the man that rejected her so many years ago. Ms. Gayle really crafted one of the most seductive female demons I have read about. The character of Melody just oozed sexuality and confidence. Her descriptive proses of Melody’s heightened sexual responses were off the chart. Melody just radiated a predatory sexuality and awareness that leaped of the page.

Oh Drake was just what the doctor ordered; the epitome of masculinity, forcefully dominate, yet caring. His dialog was crisp and commanding that brooked no arguments, each and every nuance and gesture written for the character truly personified dominant male, touch at you own risk.

This was an exciting novella that just screamed with sexuality. I highly recommend it and look forward to reading additional pieces of work form the Ms. Gayle.
